    Description

Propylene, an organic compound with the molecular formula C3H6, is a colorless, odorless, slightly sweet gas, flammable, and produces a bright flame when burned, and the explosion limit in the air is 2%~11.1% [6-7]; Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether.

Propylene is one of the three basic raw materials for synthetics, and the largest amount is used in the production of polypropylene. Other than that. Propylene can be used to prepare acrylonitrile, propylene oxide, isopropanol, phenol, acetone, butanol, octanol, acrylic acid and its esters, propylene glycol, epichlorohydrin and synthetic glycerin.
